Cascais review – The details and the colors of a charming vegan Bistro in Cascais

rustic restaurant with charming decoration

With these days of sunshine and dry weather that Portugal provides in mid-winter (love you Portugal by the way), I want to be on the street, walking, feel the scent of the sea and of wood-fired coming out of the houses. And it was on a lovely day like this I discovered the House Of Wonders, a charming and colorful vegan Bistro in Cascais. Outside´s bistro thas already called attention, with wooden benchs, patina and many flowers on top. But upon entering is that shows the real charm. The furniture is rustic and all mixed together, the accumulation of melted wax of the candles, and unique objects that seem to tell a story.

The aroma is delicious, mix of fruit juices, cakes and a wood-fired oven. And the food? Oh the food … so tasty, with a taste of fresh produce.

When you think that no more surprises you discover the terrace! Very cozy, with tables, blankets, pillows and a lovely view that registered in video.

If you liked the decor style, what if you just take a little bit of that vibe in your home? Some tips: Choose some key pieces like a untreated wood table, colorful cushions made with natural materials, melted candles (always), a chalkboard, different and repainted chairs, and why not, a sequin hat so you will have a surprise factor.
