Café com decoração aconchegante com sofás e livros

There is a relaxed and cozy Coffe Shop in Alfama neighborhood named Pois Café. With walls and floor made with stones from the original construction, the Pois café home design is very informal and joyful. Has vintage trunks, 70`s furnitures, and on the walls a few arts from locals artists. You can fall on the sofas, read a book and enjoy a beautiful afternoon, alone or with friends. Has the peculiarity of sharing a table with strangers and make use of all the books, magazines and games that have space.

greeen velvet cushion

I`m currently crazy about velvet cushions. I love these old green velvet futtons on top of chairs.

salmon toast from pois café

In the menu there are soups, tapas, salads, sandwiches and delicious desserts. I chose to order the LAx, a toast with grilled smoked salmon, cream cheese and red onion – wow!  To drink I wanted to try a typical austrian lemonade called KRACHERL with blueberries, sparkling water and lemon juice. I loved it, but you have to like sweet drink, because that was pretty sweet.

alfama Portugal

As the Coffee is located in Alfama, take the opportunity to explore the neighborhood which is quite typical, watch the buildings, the tight streets, the clotheslines, the tiles and visit the Sé Cathedrals. You can also try a fresh orange from the trees.

room with books

I think mixing materials, colors and styles in decoration works a lot and this place is proof of that. See how a classic sofa – I kept the color red but I changed the style to give that touch – can combine with a modern bookshelf and lamp. Velvet, wood, leather and metal also harmonize beautifully.

natural coconut bowls with acai

OMG! Instagram and Pinterest are the temptations of today, at least for visual people like me and you. We spend hours admiring so beautiful and inspirational images. But sometimes we just stop. STOP, no way! What is this? Silence moment! This happened with me when I sow those amazing bowls pictures, real edible art! California fever since 2016, the coconut bowls became famous with Amazebowls, but here in Portugal I didn´t see nothing similar, Brasil neither. Only the açaí bowls, but this ones are different.  The recipe is simple, actually because don´t have recipe, since you fallow some essencial rules like, get a natural coconut and use ingredients varied in color and some creamy base. If you are in a healthier vibe (congratulations  you can abuse the yogurts, açaís, seasonal fruits, granolas and cereals. If you are a chubby soul as me you can put a good ice cream, marshmallows, chunks of chocolate and strawberries to give a color and a relief on your conscience. Speaking of color, edible flowers also give that special touch. But P-L-E-A-S-E make sure that they really are edible. After this is just enjoy and delight, but not without take a picture before, shure 🙂

But if the weather’s is getting colder and winter coming, how about using coconut husk to serve a soup, or even a moroccan or thai recipe? Super will match! In fact I’m super addicted to Thai food, but this is an idea to another post 😉

But Juuuuuuuuules I neeeed a recipe to follow!!! Ok, so I separated this cool video of the Blogilates channel, but I have to say that there’s no chocolate or nutella. But still beautiful and tasty 🙂

rustic restaurant with charming decoration

With these days of sunshine and dry weather that Portugal provides in mid-winter (love you Portugal by the way), I want to be on the street, walking, feel the scent of the sea and of wood-fired coming out of the houses. And it was on a lovely day like this I discovered the House Of Wonders, a charming and colorful vegan Bistro in Cascais. Outside´s bistro thas already called attention, with wooden benchs, patina and many flowers on top. But upon entering is that shows the real charm. The furniture is rustic and all mixed together, the accumulation of melted wax of the candles, and unique objects that seem to tell a story.

The aroma is delicious, mix of fruit juices, cakes and a wood-fired oven. And the food? Oh the food … so tasty, with a taste of fresh produce.

When you think that no more surprises you discover the terrace! Very cozy, with tables, blankets, pillows and a lovely view that registered in video.

If you liked the decor style, what if you just take a little bit of that vibe in your home? Some tips: Choose some key pieces like a untreated wood table, colorful cushions made with natural materials, melted candles (always), a chalkboard, different and repainted chairs, and why not, a sequin hat so you will have a surprise factor.
